Readers Respond - A Nut Case

Dear Friends,
One evening a friend of ours
received some startling information on how attorneys view the world. Lance was having
dinner atop the Seattle Space Needle with a group of lawyers. Lance was soon to graduate
with honors from law school. One of the attorneys put his arm around Lance and led him
over to the window. From their high perch, they looked down on the city below. The
attorney pointed out corporation after corporation headquartered in various skyscrapers.
"We lawyers control all that power and the glory of them," he said. "Maybe
someday the meek shall inherit the earth, but until then, we're running
things."
Lance left the meeting
horrified. He had just started reading the New Testament and the attorney's smug words
haunted him. To Lance, the attorney appeared like the devil who tempted Jesus in Matthew,
Chapter 4. Lance's ideals were shattered that night. He dropped out of law school and
began the most important pursuit of all - seeking the Kingdom of Heaven.
The One Behind the Scenes
When a dispute arises
between you and your neighbor, who is first in line to solve it? Who is the one you turn
to? Usually, it is an attorney. Yes, every time anyone has a matter they need to settle,
they run to an attorney. They are afraid they might make a "legal mistake," so
they do everything right as prescribed by their attorney.
It's awesome when you
realize that attorneys have their hand in every major decision. We think the CEO heads a
corporation. But his power is limited. There's always a lawyer behind the scenes advising
him on what he can or cannot do.
It's the same way with
secular government. I was very interested in finding out how the county commissioners
operate. I was told they are the gods of the county. They are the ones that determine what
is going to happen within their territory. When I attended a meeting of the Marion County
Commissioners, I saw all the Commissioners seated at a large table. At the end of the
table sat the County Attorney. As each item on the agenda was discussed, the Commissioners
asked the Attorney for her legal position on the matter. It is not the elected county
commissioners and other officials who are making the decisions. It is the attorneys.
Do you realize that behind
every bureaucrat, mayor, governor and president is an attorney giving them advice?
Attorneys are everywhere. Maybe the attorneys that were having dinner in the space needle
were right. Attorneys are running the world.
The world needs somebody
to run things. And it looks like the world uses attorneys as mediators to go before their
gods. And who are their gods?
It turns out that the one
they call "judge," the one who wears the black robe, is also known as
"god." He is feared and obeyed by inmates, jailers, jurors, plaintiffs and
defendants. I remember one time when I was in Marion County jail, I refused to go before
their court. One of the jail guards reprimanded me saying, "While you are here in
this world, Judge Mills is god!" I told him that this person might be his god,
but Jesus Christ is my God.
There's something else we
learned about those black-robed gods. Almost 100 percent of them are attorneys. The same
is true with the lawmakers. Almost all of them are attorneys, too.
One Mediator
We know that the whole
world looks to attorneys to intervene in their behalf. But this is not true in the Kingdom
of Heaven. Who is going to help us when we get into trouble? Who is our mediator? Let's
look at the Scripture. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the
righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for
the sins of the whole world" (1 John 2:1,2)
I wonder if Jesus Christ
can be our lawyer? Scripture says, He is "an advocate with the Father." In
England, lawyers are called "advocates." An advocate is a person who pleads
another's cause, specifically a lawyer. In Jesus Christ we have an advocate who will take
our case. I tried this once in court. They did not say I had sinned against God Almighty.
They accused me of sinning against them. Then they wanted to know if I had a
lawyer.
"Yes, I do," I
replied.
"What is his
name?"
"Jesus Christ."
"Oh, Jesus Christ
can't practice in this court."
"Oh, He can't?"
"No. He is not a
member of the bar association."
"You mean Jesus
Christ has to be a member of the bar association in order to practice?"
"Yes, that is
correct. Besides, He is not around. He has been dead for almost 2,000 years."
"Excuse, me, haven't
you read your history books? Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. He is a living
Advocate and He is the one who is going to represent me."
"I'm sorry. We cannot
have Him."
The reason the court did
not want Jesus Christ is because He was not an officer of their court. And besides, Jesus
Christ would not plead before their false gods. Jesus would not plead before a black-robed
judge. No way! Jesus would plead before the Heavenly Father, where our plea should really
be. Because you see, we have not sinned. And even if we did sin, even if we did stumble,
Jesus Christ will still plead our cause.
Jesus is different from
the attorneys. This particular Advocate, this Jesus, does something special. He forgives.
By His grace, and His grace alone, we are forgiven.
If I have sinned, I
deserve punishment. I should pay the full penalty of the law. But with Jesus, the Advocate
before the Father, He allows me to go free to try again, to be perfected in Him.
According to the
Scripture, there is only one Mediator "For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be
testified in due time" (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
Lawyers Won't Save Us
Let's make a comparison between
the attorneys and Christ. I have asked a number of attorneys if they were willing to die
for me. I could not find a single one who would lay his life down for me. But Jesus did. I
could not find one attorney who would go to jail for me in case I lost. None of them would
take my punishment. But Jesus did.
"For scarcely for a
righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
him" (Romans 5:7-9).
Now what attorney in
history has received the atonement for us? I don't know any. Jesus is the only One
throughout all history. Why are we even considering one of their attorneys? Not a
one of them comes close to doing what Jesus Christ has done for us. They bind heavy
burdens that are grievous to bear. But if we come to Christ, His burdens are light
(Matthew 11:28-30). If we forgive those who have wronged us, as Christ has forgiven us,
then we have no need for the attorney system of "man-judging-man."
What relationship are we
to have with lawyers? Did Jesus say, "If you sin, go get yourself a lawyer"? No.
Jesus never promoted the use of a lawyer as a mediator. In fact, He denounces them angrily
at Luke 11:39-54 and Matthew 23:13-33.
The attorneys are working
to shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against us with their oppressive burdens. But if we
simply take the light burden of Christ, then we don't need lawyers any more.
Let us put on the Lord
Jesus Christ and make Him our only Advocate. Jesus Christ is the Light. He is the
Way. He is the door. For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king
(Psalm 89:18).

Christian
lawyer Same as hot ice.
The definition above
includes some of the biting words Jesus used to describe these "experts in the
law." There are six direct references to lawyers in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
All these references portray lawyers in a negative light. They are shown tempting the Lord
(Matthew 22:35, Luke 10:25), justifying themselves (Luke 10:29),
rejecting the purpose of God for themselves (Luke 7:30), loading men with burdens
grievous to be borne (Luke 11:45,46), and taking away the key of knowledge (Luke
11:52). Jesus rebukes them soundly with the Seven Woes (Matthew Chapter 23 and Luke
11:37-54).
Whenever we are dragged
before their tribunals, the question of counsel must be resolved. The court is eager to
have us accept a state-appointed lawyer to act in our behalf. Lawyers are very cunning.
They may attempt to deceive us into thinking they are working on the side of truth and
righteousness. Jesus said lawyers outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within are full
of hypocrisy and iniquity (Matthew 23:28). Because of our desire to save our lives
and our lack of expertise in matters of law, it may be very tempting to accept the court's
offer. But woe unto the one who takes the counsel of a lawyer. Jesus said, "He who is
not with me is against me" (Matthew 12:30). Lawyers openly show they are
against Christ's principles by returning evil for evil and encouraging vengeance rather
than forgiveness. Jesus said of lawyers, "How can ye escape the damnation of
hell?" (Matthew 23:33)
Our latest booklet is a comprehensive listing of
Licensed Bar Attorneys who are also born-again Christians.
As you page through the
Directory, you will notice that all the pages are intentionally left blank. The reason: a
Christian lawyer is an oxymoron. It is the same as hot ice.
At the end of the
Directory, we have reprinted the "Lawyers" article from the previous page.

For most of us, the thought of appearing in court
before a black-robed priest sends cold shivers down our spine. No one wants to be dragged
into their courts. The entire court system is evil. Its objective is to destroy human life
and human souls. Courts are the gateway to hell. You're not looking at the pearly gates.
Oh, no. The pearly gates are made up of forgiveness and love and kindness. But the gates
of hell are made up of judgment and punishment and destruction. That's what the courts are
- the synagogues of Satan.
Most of us are scared of
the power of the courts. But there is a way to defuse the courts and render them
harmless. When you "defuse" a bomb, you remove the plug so that it can't blow up
and destroy anything. That's what we're going to do with the courts. We're going to defuse
their power and render them harmless.
1. The first plug we're
pulling on the courts is "judgment." The lifeblood of courts is judging.
Jesus says, "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1). If we
cannot judge one another, then what will become of the black-robed men sitting in their
high seats? They will have no work to do. In the Kingdom of Heaven there can be no courts,
no prosecutors, and no judges.
"For with what
judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged." I don't want to judge you. For if I do, the
same measuring stick that I use to judge you, will be used to judge me. How can I possibly
see to remove the speck in your eye, when there's a log in mine own eye? (Matthew 7:1-5).
2. The next fuse to pull
is "oath taking." Courts depend upon oaths. Those who testify must swear
to tell "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." Jesus says,
"Swear not at all. Let your communication be Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is
more than these cometh of evil" (Matthew 5:33-37).
Swearing requires telling
the whole truth. That is more than just answering "yes" or "no." Yet,
whatsoever is more than "yes" or "no" comes from the devil! (verse 37)
Here is more proof that the courts belong to Satan and are the gateway to imprisonment and
destruction of the souls of men. The court absolutely requires swearing of oaths. An
affirmation is treated just like an oath and brings the one affirming under the same pains
and penalties for false swearing. Without oath taking, the courts could not exist.
To swear an oath is to
promise to tell the truth in your upcoming testimony. But how do you know what you will be
saying? You do not know what the future will be. You cannot even make one hair black or
white.
Pull another fuse out of
their courts by not swearing an oath. If you do not testify in their courts because you
are unable to swear, then they cannot use your testimony or bring you under their power.
(1 Corinthians 6:12)
3. Next, pull out the fuse
of "vengeance." The whole focus of courts is on vengeance. "We will
prosecute you to the full extent of the law," declares the "judge."
"Let's show him no mercy," cries the prosecution.
"Ye have heard that
it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth" (Matthew 5:38). Now
isn't that exactly what the courts are all about? If a man makes a claim in court, he
wants "an eye for an eye." He says, "That man over there harmed me, he
should be harmed." And the courts take up the torch, avenging the man they judge to
have been injured.
But Jesus does not want us
to try to get even. "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine: I will repay, saith the Lord"
(Romans 12:19).
In the Kingdom of Heaven,
"ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him
the other also" (Matthew 5:39).
If you turn your cheek,
there is no court date. If you forgive your neighbor, there is no trial. You've just
pulled a big fat fuse out of the court system. It cannot exist in a government of love and
forgiveness.
4. The last plug to pull
is "lawsuits." "And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take
away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also" (Matthew 5:40). If you don't sue, what
work is there for the courts to do? You put them to shame. "And whosoever shall
compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain" (Matthew 5:41). Now you've done even
more than you've been asked. Who could condemn you for doing good?
When someone wrongs you,
what if you do something unexpected? What if you forgive your neighbor for his trespass?
What if you lend to those who ask to borrow, hoping for nothing again? What if you love
your enemies and bless them that curse you? What if you do good to them that hate you and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you? (Matthew 5:43-44) If you do
this, your reward shall be great and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for He is
kind unto the unthankful and to the evil (Luke 6:35). In other words, Love
defuses the courts. Forgiveness ends the quarrel. It is that simple.
Trial of Jesus
Let's look at the trial of
Jesus at Matthew, Chapter 26. Here is a court system very similar to the courts of today.
That court system convicted and sentenced to death our Lord and Messiah. Their procedures
judged our King guilty of death. To this day, many people put their faith in the wicked
court system. We must realize the court system is not a Divine institution. God would not
divide His own house. These courts are the works of the devil. The works of the devil
crucified our Lord.
The devil had no power to
do this unless it was given from the Almighty. And why was that power given? To
demonstrate that the court system from the beginning was not of God. And to show that man
is so blind that he judges the most perfect man worthy of death. The Father instructs
us through His Son to put away those courts.
Casting First Stone
Do you remember the woman
caught in the very act of adultery? (John, Chapter 8)) She was brought before a type of
court. The scribes and Pharisees were the prosecutors and they brought her before Jesus to
be the judge. They argued that Moses commanded that such a woman should be stoned. But
they wanted to know how this new King Jesus would respond.
Verse six reveals their
evil intent. They were tempting him, that they might accuse Him. Jesus stooped down
and with his finger wrote on the ground as if he had not heard them. Finally Jesus said,
"He that is without sin among you, cast the first stone." Jesus was putting them
on trial first. If they wanted to judge her, then they needed to be on trial first. The
scribes and Pharisees must have been outraged. "Hey, she didn't pay the full penalty
of the law." But, they left her alone because their lives were also in sin.
The woman caught in
adultery illustrates that man must not judge, because he himself is guilty. All men are
guilty. Who are we to judge another man?
The courts judge and
condemn man. Jesus forgives and saves man. Then He tells us to "go and sin no
more."
Splitting up Marriages
Many folks exalt the courts and hold them in awe.
But the courts are not saving lives, they are destroying them. You cannot expect to get
justice from an institution that promotes sin.
There is a wickedness that
the courts do every day. They grant divorces for every cause. Jesus says that
Moses' law granted divorce "because of the hardness of their hearts, but from the
beginning it was not so." God's way is one man, one woman, until death do they part.
And if a man or a woman divorces and marries again, they shall be called adulterers or
adulteresses. And anybody who marries someone who has been divorced is an adulterer or
adulteress (Matthew, Chapter 19, Luke 16:18).
Yet every single day in
those courtrooms, men pull apart what God has joined together. The courts are granting
divorces against the Word of God. They are filthy home wreckers! "What God hath
joined together, let no man put asunder!" No man on the face of the earth can pull
apart what God has joined together through holy matrimony.
Study the Sermon on the
Mount (Matthew Chapters 5 through 7) and look at how Jesus defuses the courts. Without
judging, without oaths, without vengeance and without lawsuits, there are no courts. They
have no fuses left. They cannot explode. When you realize the courts are not of God, they
lose their power to terrorize us.
The courts are condemned
because they are in direct disobedience to Jesus Christ. They are not sitting in God's
seat. They are doing the works of their Father the devil.
If we obeyed Jesus, there
would be no courts. If there were no courts, can you imagine what would become of
attorneys? The attorneys would have no jobs. They would have no work to do. There would be
no cases to present in court. If you pull out the fuses from the courts, then it also
pulls the fuses out of the attorneys. Judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys would all
become history.
Quit financing them.
Quit paying them homage. Quit worshiping the beast. Quit worshiping Babylon. Come out.
Wake up. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Come into the Kingdom of Heaven
where Jesus Christ is Lord, where all is forgiveness of sins and where every man's life
and soul can be saved.
All those who avenge
themselves or go to law and wrangle in the courts over their property and honor are
nothing but heathen masquerading under the name of Christians. It cannot be otherwise, I
tell you. Do not look to the multitude and to the common practice, for, have no doubt,
there are few Christians on earth; and God's Word is something very different from the
common practice.

Dental bills can be
devastating to those of us living a simple, separated life. When I was in grade school, my
mother put drops of fluoride in my milk every day for years. Yet, despite her diligence,
every year I had a mouth full of new cavities.
By the time our eldest
daughter Brooke was four years old, her teeth were so full of cavities that her molars
needed stainless steel caps and several of her other teeth required dental fillings. At
age six, our daughter Skye complained of tooth pain. A dental exam revealed that she
needed 12 dental fillings. I saw my children repeating the same pattern of decaying teeth
that I experienced growing up.
The Solution
We cried out to the Lord
and He answered our prayers in the form of a mouthwash with Sanguinaria root to destroy
plaque. The purpose of dental hygiene is to prevent the buildup of plaque. Plaque is a
thin, transparent film on the surface of the teeth, containing bacteria. If the plaque is
removed on a daily basis, there will be little tooth decay or gingivitis of the gums.
Over the years, we have
found the daily use of a Sanguinaria-based mouthwash is the easiest, least expensive way
to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Sanguinaria root, also called Bloodroot, is a proven
plaque-killing herb. This powerful herb was the active ingredient in Viadent mouthwash.
A few years ago, Viadent
was purchased by Colgate-Palmolive Company. Sanguinaria root is no longer an active
ingredient in their mouthwash, even though it is still listed as an extract on the label.
All our family's teeth started deteriorating again using their new formula. We quit using
Viadent and formulated our own mouthwash. We now use a nonfluoride toothpaste and then
rinse the mouth daily with Sanguinaria-Mint Mouthwash. Our teeth and gums are healthy
again.

Sanguinaria-Mint Mouthwash
|
This mouthwash is
quick to prepare once you have assembled the ingredients. Ready to use in two weeks. Our
family has proved its effectiveness in preventing plaque buildup. There are no harmful
additives. The mint freshens breath. We add myrrh because it is wonderfully healing for
mouthsores. It does taste somewhat bitter, but adding sweetener would defeat its purpose.
YIELD: One 30-ounce bottle (3-3/4 cups)
3 Tablespoons dried
Spearmint leaves
1 Tablespoon Myrrh (pea size pieces)(optional)
1/2 ounce of Sanguinaria root (Bloodroot) or about 1
rounded Tablespoon of root pieces
1-1/2 cups of Vodka
Step 1
1. Break up Sanguinaria
root into small pieces (1/2 to 1 inch).
2. Put all ingredients in a glass quart jar with a
tight-fitting lid.
3. Close lid tightly and shake vigorously.
4. Label and date jar.
5. Leave at room temperature for two weeks, shaking
contents once a day.
Step 2
6. After mouthwash has
set for 2 weeks, strain into a quart measuring pitcher or wide-mouth jar. Strain through
several layers of cheesecloth or an old, clean pillowcase.
7. Wring and squeeze any remaining liquid into pitcher,
being careful not to allow herb particles into the pitcher.
8. Ten drops of mint oil extract may be added to mouthwash
for a stronger mint flavor.
9. Add 2-1/4 cups water to make 3-3/4 cups (30 ounces).
Using Mouthwash
Store mouthwash in bottle
with tight-fitting lid. We use an old mouthwash bottle. Rinse mouth daily with 1 to 2
tablespoons of mouthwash, swirling in mouth for at least 1 minute, then spit out. Avoid
eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after mouthwashing.
Abscesses
If a tooth abscesses,
hold mouthwash in mouth for several minutes every hour throughout the day. We know of
abscesses healing after three days using this method. Mouthwash also helps relieve the
pain as the tooth heals.

Courts love to make
decisions. It is a game to them. Most of the players are paid big bucks to participate.
They make a living playing this form of civilized combat. They have nothing to lose. But
you, as their victim, have everything to lose, including your soul.
To start the combat, they
send out one of their agents to pick a fight. You are captured, roughed up and possibly
hauled to jail. They make accusations and then demand that you appear before their
tribunal to give answer (Matthew 10:17-20).
Most people facing this
situation are traumatized by all that might happen. They fall into the snare of fearing
what men will do to them (Proverbs 29:25). The temptation is strong to compromise. By the
time they are scheduled to appear in court, they are eager to either strike a bargain with
the other players, or build a defense to clear their name. And that is exactly what the
players in the court game want them to do.
When you are dragged into
court, you are not called to build a defense, but to testify of the Kingdom of Heaven. God
will open doors and instruct you on what words to say in court. You are not to be anxious.
In the meantime, here are some principles that will help you become as wise as a serpent,
while remaining as gentle as a dove:
1. The courts gain
jurisdiction because of your residency. If you have residency with the State, then the
lawmakers make your laws. But if you have residency in the Kingdom of Heaven, then the
State lawmakers do not make your laws. That is really the only issue that can be raised.
And these courts cannot hear it because they are merely creatures of the legislature. They
cannot decide upon something greater than themselves.
2. Do not build a defense.
If you do, you have consented to the decision-making power of the court.
3. Our purpose as Christ's
ambassadors is not to win favorable court decisions. Our purpose is to reconcile the world
to Christ. We are not seeking a Supreme Court ruling that we have a right to travel from
place to place preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. That issue has already been decided in
Heaven (Psalms 119:89). There is nothing for the courts of the world to decide.
Dear Pastor Paul,
I want to thank you so
much for your ministry. It means a great deal to me. When I first began listening to you,
several months ago, I must admit I thought you were some kind of a nut case. I mean, why
go to the extremes of refusing to carry a state drivers license or a social security card?
What did those things have to do with being a Christian? However, there was something
about you, and what you were saying, that kept me listening every week to the Embassy of
Heaven Hour on Saturday nights.
I began to read the
scriptures that you were listing on the show. I prayed to God for discernment on these
matters. I ordered some of your materials and read them. I began taping your shows (now on
weekdays) and listening to them in my truck as I drove to and from work.
I was aware of the issue
of state incorporated churches, but how could I have been such a hypocrite? How could I
expect the churches to come out from under the authority and jurisdiction of an antichrist
government, when we as individuals were in bondage and slavery to the same system? I now
feel like I have had the scales removed from my eyes (like Apostle Paul). The scriptures
have come alive to me. How could I have missed it! The command to separate from the world
and the kingdoms of the world is all through the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation.

The problem that I now
have is that I believe you are completely sane, but everyone else thinks that I am
a nut case. But seriously, I am encountering a great deal of resistance to the idea of
separating from the kingdoms of this world, even within my own family. The last time I
ordered materials from you, I wrote you about this, and I want to thank you for your
letter of encouragement and the tape you sent me (Lonely Battle #T9830B).
I am taking some steps to
come out of the kingdoms of the world. I will not take part in their government anymore by
voting. I am taking steps to try to become as debt free as possible. I believe the biggest
obstacle is earning a living without a social security card. Recently you had a show about
earning a living distributing and writing Christian literature. (Where Do I Work? T9831C)
I would be interested, as I like to write. Please send me any information you have on
this.
You and your family, and
Abe are in my prayers. Please pray also for me and my family, especially that my wife
would have her eyes opened to the truth. Thank you.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty
wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
