June 9, Year of Our Lord, 2000
Arrested for driving a Heaven
vehicle on his farm.
State Police invaded Don Brown's farm and arrested him as he
traveled from one barn to the other on his own right-of-way. Farmer Brown said
he was almost hit by police as they converged upon him on June 9th at noontime.
He was hauled off to the county jail in Wampsville, New York and charged with
Third Degree Aggravation and with having an unregistered motor vehicle.
Farmer Brown's wife Nancy said her husband wouldn't hurt a
flea and has no warrants for his arrest. She believes he is wanted in court
because he travels with Kingdom of Heaven license plates. Police did not
confiscate the Heaven licensed car Farmer Brown was driving, though the last
time Farmer Brown was arrested, he lost a car. A hearing is scheduled for the
19th.
Farmer Brown hosts a weekly, six hour radio program
Saturdays from midnight to 6:00 a.m. on 96.5 FM and 105.1 FM on WVOA.
