Sorting the mail

Receiving a new name is a great way to separate from your old life of bondage. In your daily transactions, you will need to determine which name to use. As you examine your mail, for instance, you make decisions on those individuals and companies that you wish to carry forward into your new life. If there are bills to pay, you pay them. If there are subscriptions you want to continue, you send them a change of address. If there are friendships you want to maintain, send them a card or letter announcing your rebirth.

If friendly mail is coming to the old man, write and tell them your new name. If unfriendly or nuisance mail is coming to the old man, write "DECEASED" on the outside of the envelope and send it back. The mail will indicate the old man’s obligations.
